Oh god, Mr. Pfarrer is a family series on ARD based on an idea by Felix Huby . After the first season, the follow-up series Pastor Lenau with Irene Clarin was recorded.

Pastor Hermann Wiegandt takes over the parish of his father-in-law Merkle. He moves with his wife, the teacher Claudia, and their two children Anke and Lutz von Tübingen, where he was theology lecturer at the university, to a rectory in Talberg, a fictional suburb of Stuttgart. The old pastor Merkle still likes to interfere in the affairs of his successor. During his work, Wiegandt repeatedly meets opponents who want to make life difficult for him and his family, but is very popular with his community.
