Irene Clarin (born May 16, 1955 in Munich ) is a German actress .

Life

Clarin is the daughter of the actor Hans Clarin and his first wife Irene Reiter. She received her training at the New Munich Drama School . She played her first roles at the Theater der Jugend in Munich. From 1977 to 2002 Clarin was a member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble . The actress played Marie in Drums in the Night (1979), the chambermaid Rosalie in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (1979), Fortinbras, the Prince of Norway in Hamlet (1980), the landowner Grekova in Chekhov's Platonov (1981) , Rosalind, the Duke's daughter in As You Like It (1982), Nathan's daughter Recha in Nathan der Weise (1984), Herbert in the world premiere of Achternbuschs Weg (1985), the daughter in Thomas Bernhard's Am Ziel (1993), the actress Arkadina in The Seagull (1997) and the Queen in Shakespeare's Cymbeline (1998). She worked with renowned directors such as Peter Zadek , Robert Wilson , Ernst Wendt , Dieter Dorn , Christian Stückl and Luc Bondy . In 2006 she played at the Fritz Rémond Theater in Frankfurt. In 2012 she toured the German-speaking area with productions by the theater production a.gon.

Clarin can not only be seen on stage, but also repeatedly on television. She became known through various appearances in crime series such as Derrick , Der Alte , Siska and Die Rosenheim-Cops , as well as through the television series Die Wiesingers for BR. In the first ARD program, she embodied Pastor Lenau in 13 episodes of the same series broadcast in 1990 .

The actress lives in her native Munich. She has two daughters.
