Rev. Lenau is a family series of ARD on an idea by Felix Huby . It is the follow-up series to the 1988 series Oh God, Mr. Pastor with Robert Atzorn .
content
The 33-year-old pastor Katharina Lenau, married to the architect Marcus Lenau, takes up her first pastor's position in the Melanchthon parish in Stuttgart . Often she is full of self-doubt. The young pastor initially encountered reservations, skepticism and even rejection from parishioners. She can expect little help from her husband, Marcus, who is an architect himself, and from her father, Arthur Köstlin, a publisher and atheist. However, with the necessary degree of sensitivity, she succeeds in asserting herself more and more. She finds support in the bookbinder Karl Engstinger, the community secretary Klara Treutle, the pastor friend Peter Kuron and her relative Anna-Lotte Ulmer, a retired deaconess.
