Okruch

The okruch was a Hungarian square measure in Neutra county . It was a so-called sowing measure and was also named as the Skalitzer measure after a region in today's Slovakia .

With two masons you could cultivate an area the size of a yoke . That corresponded to about 1100 to 1300 square rods in the counties of Temes , Torontal , Krassó , Bács, Csanád , Csongrád . In Békes County there were 1,600 square rods.
