Okstindan ( Nynorsk ) or Okstindene ( Bokmål ) is a mountain range in the municipality of Hemnes in the Norwegian province of Nordland not far from the Swedish border.
The Okstindan massif is 30 km south of Mo i Rana . The mountain range is covered by the Okstindbreen glacier. The highest peaks are Oksskolten ( 1916 moh. ), Okshornet ( 1901 moh. ), Tvillingtindan ( 1824 moh. ) And Okstinden ( 1804 moh. ).
Røssvatnet lies south of the mountain range . The glaciers and streams of the mountains feed the river system of the Røssåga , which flows to the northwestern Sørfjord , an arm of the Ranfjord .
