Oktay Delibalta (born October 27, 1985 in Samsun ) is a Turkish football player who plays for Şanlıurfaspor .
Career
Oktay Delibalta was born in the port city of Samsun and moved to Istanbul with his family as a child . Here he learned to play football in the youth department of the former first division club Sarıyer .
After he had difficulties here, in the third highest Turkish division, to get into the squad of the professional team, he moved to league rivals Alibeyköyspor for the 2004/05 season . There he succeeded in joining the professional team straight away. A short time later he fought for a regular place and played four seasons for this club.
For the 2008/09 season his contract ran out and he received an offer from his home club and then second division club Samsunspor . He accepted the offer and moved to the Black Sea coast for free. At Samsunspor he immediately made the leap into the regular formation. Played here for two years.
At the end of the 2009/10 season his contract ran out and he had several offers from first division clubs. Delibalta decided on the capital club Gençlerbirliği . Here, too, he made the leap into the regular formation straight away. He was one of the top performers on his team and was the second best goalscorer on his team with seven goals. Due to the good performance, the club extended its two-year contract early for another year for the 2011/12 season. After Delibalta could not play continuously in the first half of the 2012/13 season, he expressed the desire to leave the club. So he was loaned to league rivals Gaziantepspor for the second half of the season.
For the 2014/15 season Delibalta moved within the Süper Lig to promoted Mersin İdman Yurdu .
In spring 2016 he moved to league rivals Antalyaspor and in summer 2016 to second division club Şanlıurfaspor .
