The Oktod transmission tower is a 258 m high transmission tower of the Russian telecommunications company Oktod for VHF, FM and TV. It was built from 2004 to 2006 as a steel framework and is located in the northwestern Moscow district . The tower, which is not open to the public, has an unusual octagonal cross-section. The lowest parts of the octod transmission tower were assembled with the help of a crane, the uppermost with the help of a helicopter .
