Olaf Renn

Olaf Renn (born October 12, 1969 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a former German football player .

Athletic career

Olaf Renn comes from the youth division of FC Karl-Marx-Stadt . Renn did not make the leap into the Sachsen Oberliga team straight away, after he was handed over to Motor "Fritz Heckert" in 1988 , the midfielder was able to prevail in 1990 against the Himmelblauen . Under the coaches Hans Meyer and Reinhard Häfner , Renn was a regular player until the CFC was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga in 1996.

Renn then signed for three years with SC Fortuna Köln , from where he moved to Energie Cottbus for one season in 1999 . In Cottbus he was promoted to the Bundesliga , but due to a lack of prospects he decided to return to Chemnitzer FC after a year . After relegation again, Renn left Chemnitz for two years in the direction of VfB Leipzig , where he was active until the Messestädter went bankrupt. In the period that followed, Renn ended his career at VfB Chemnitz and FV Krokusblüte Drebach .
