Olav Gullvåg
Olav Gullvåg , also Olav Gullvaag , (born December 31, 1885 in Trondheim , † September 25, 1961 in Hvalstad in the municipality of Asker , west of Oslo ) was a Norwegian writer . He mainly appeared as a novelist.
Life
Gullvaag, the son of a craftsman and teacher for the blind, devoted himself to painting in his youth before he became drawn to writing. He then worked as a journalist for various newspapers in Norway. After his travels 1929–1931, a. a. after Germany and Italy, he returned to Oslo and devoted himself to writing. A popular setting in his novels is the everyday life of Norwegian farmers.
