Old Etonians Association Football Club is an English football club from Eton . The club, for which mainly Eton College graduates play, is an amateur club that managed to win the FA Cup .
history
The association was founded by Arthur Kinnaird, 11th Lord Kinnaird . Officially founded in 1871, its history goes back to 1863.
After the team had already stood in the final of the competition in 1875 and 1876, they achieved their first FA Cup victory in 1879 when the Clapham Rovers were defeated 1-0 in the final. On March 25, 1882, the second and last title win succeeded, in the final Blackburn Rovers could be beaten 1-0. The title defense failed when Blackburn Olympic was able to prevail a year later 2-1 after extra time.
As an amateur club, the Old Etonians joined the Amateur Football Alliance . The club plays in the Arthurian League played by this association and has been first class since 1986. In 1993 and 2005 the club became champions.
