List of domestic dogs

The Old White English Terrier (also White English Terrier ) is a breed of dog that became extinct in the early twentieth century. As an important source of genetic material, his genes flowed into numerous English terrier breeds , such as the bull terrier . The reason for the extinction was an animal protection measure: in 1895, ear cropping was banned in England. Docked dogs were no longer admitted to the Kennel Club's exhibitions , and the buyers didn't like the clipped ear. The breeders turned to other breeds. In 1902 the last champion was crowned at Crufts .
