Hans Räber (born April 7, 1918 , † June 9, 2008 ) was a Swiss cynologist and non-fiction author.

Life

Study visits with Heini Hediger at Basel Zoo and with Nikolaas Tinbergen in Leiden / NL. From 1955 to 1990 he served as editor of the association's journal Swiss dog sport operates this pedigree leader , member of the FCI -Standardkommission, acting judge and successful breeder (over 130 throws in his kennel Barbanera ). He is internationally known as the author of many cynological articles in domestic and foreign magazines and as a book author. In 1975 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bern for his life's work in cynology.
