Ole Bjur

Ole Bjur (born September 13, 1968 in Rødovre ) is a former Danish football player and today's football official.

Career as a football player

During his active career, Ole Bjur was under contract with Vanløse IF and first division side Brøndby IF . During his time as an active member of the Copenhagen suburb club, the central midfielder received championship honors in 1991 , 1996 , 1997 and 1998 . Bjur also won the Danish Cup in 1994 and 1998.

On April 23, 1996, Ole Bjur played in the 3-0 win in the test match in Nykøbing Falster against Scotland for the first time for the Danish national B team. On August 14, 1996, he completed his first game for the Danish national team in the 1-0 win in the friendly against Sweden in Gothenburg . For the Danish selection Bjur came to three missions, his last international match he completed on August 20, 1997 in the 3-0 defeat in the World Cup qualifier in Sarajevo against Bosnia-Herzegovina .

Trainer and functionary

In October 2010 Ole Bjur joined the coaching team at Brøndby IF. On March 1, 2011, he became the club's sports director. He gave up this post at the end of the 2012/13 season. On January 1, 2014 Bjur became sporting director at the third division club Fremad Amager . During his tenure, the promotion to the second division falls. He left this post on September 14, 2015 and has been responsible for developing talent in Danish club football ever since.
