Ole Kirk Christiansen
Ole Kirk Christiansen (born April 7, 1891 in Filskov near Billund , † March 11, 1958 in Billund) was a Danish cabinet maker and toy maker . He founded the Lego company with his son Godtfred and was the inventor of the Lego bricks.
He started with wooden building blocks in 1932. In 1949 he made the first plastic Lego blocks. On July 28, 1958, his son submitted his draft of the new Lego block, so that this date is considered the birthday of the Lego blocks.
