Ole Monty
Ole Monty (born October 22, 1908 in Copenhagen , Denmark , † April 24, 1977 in Copenhagen) was a Danish actor .
Career
Ole Monty originally trained and worked in the textile industry, and later as an office and trade clerk. Because of his great interest in theater and revues , he decided to become an actor. After a few appearances as a small and supporting actor in various theaters and revues, he took acting lessons from the then very popular and well-known Danish actors Albert Luther and Henrik Malberg and made his debut in 1937. After various engagements at the Apolloteatret (Apollo Theater), Falkoner Center and am Nørrebro Teater he also sang several songs for recording on gramophone - gramophone records . After 1945 he put the focus of his work on his work as an actor in film productions and played there in many successful Danish films. In March 1977 he fell during a theater rehearsal at Folketeatret in Copenhagen and died on April 24, 1977 as a result of this fall.

Ole Monty was married to Sylli Monty (née Sylvia Schermeister) for the first time, and together they had a son, Pierre Monty (* 1940). Around 1944 he married the stage artist Inge Aasted in his second marriage and later in his third marriage the actress Lone Luther. He was the uncle of the Danish film critic and former director of the Danish Film Museum (Det Danske Filmmuseum) Ib Monty.
