Oleksandr Vyacheslavovich Nechytajlo ( Ukrainian Олександр Вячеславович Нечитайло ; born September 20, 1973 in Cherkasy Oblast , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian diplomat.

Career

In June 1995 Nechytajlo graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Department of Linguistics of the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kiev . Nechytajlo holds a Master of Arts degree in philology, Chinese and Ukrainian languages ​​and literature. In September 1995 he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Nechytajlo held several offices. In the State Department he was Attaché, Third Secretary, and Second Secretary to the Asia-Pacific Department. Nechytajlo was third and second secretary at the Ukrainian embassy in Jakarta ( Indonesia ), second secretary at the Ukrainian embassy in Beijing ( China ) and an advisor at the Ukrainian embassy in Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia ). In the Foreign Minister's office he was first secretary and advisor, then head of multilateral cooperation. Most recently, he became Director General of the Directorate General for the Asia-Pacific Region.

On July 18, 2016 Nechytajlos was appointed Ambassador of Ukraine in Kuala Lumpur for Malaysia, the Philippines (appointment: August 2, 2017) and East Timor (appointment: October 25, 2019). Nechytajlo handed over his accreditation for East Timor to East Timor’s President Francisco Guterres on February 20, 2020 .

Nechytajlo speaks Ukrainian, English and Chinese. He is married and has a son and a daughter.
