Olga Afanassjewna Varenzowa

Olga Afanassjewna Warenzowa ( Russian Ольга Афанасьевна Варенцова ; born July 8, 1862 in Ivanovo-Vosnesensk , † March 22, 1950 in Moscow ) was a Russian revolutionary and publicist.

Life

In 1893 she became a member of the revolutionary movement. She did party work in Astrakhan , Vologda and Yaroslavl . From 1906 she was secretary of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Committee of the RSDLP . She took an active part in the preparation and implementation of the armed October uprising in Moscow. In 1919 she worked in the office of the war commissioners . Until 1921 she was the secretary of the Ivanovo-Vosnesensk Government Committee of the Communist Party . In the following years she worked as an academic historian. In 1933 she was awarded the Order of Lenin .
