Olga Gauby ( July 21, 1879 in Graz - 1944 ibid) was an Austrian theater actress .

Life

Gauby, daughter of the Graz city council and composer August Gauby (1844–1929), came to Vienna in 1896 and was examined by Adolf von Sonnenthal and Joseph Lewinsky and trained at Carl Arnau's theater school.

In 1898 she made her debut as "Emilia Galotti" in Regensburg. In 1899 she worked in Augsburg , then from 1900 at the Freiburg City Theater (debut role: “Ophelia”).

In 1916 she worked in Schwerin, in 1917 in Munich and from 1921 at the latest to at least 1932 in Chemnitz.

In 1944, Olga Gauby died in an accident in her hometown.
