Olga Sonja Barbara Pircher (* 7. October 1952 in Leoben as Olga Haidinger ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Pircher was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 2001 to 2009 .

education and profession

Pircher attended elementary school from 1959 to 1963 and graduated from high school in 1971 with the Matura . She then worked as a B official at the Graz Post Office and attended the Basic Concepts of Constitutional and Administrative Law course at the University of Graz from 1974 to 1976 . Pircher states that her current job is retired and worked as a tutor for English and French.

politics

From 2003 to 2015, Pircher was chairwoman of the SPÖ women in Vorarlberg. As a further function, she held that of a deputy state party chairman, was a member of the state and federal party executive as well as (vice) -president of the Socialist Lake Constance International and a member of the Lake Constance Council. On January 31, 2001, she succeeded Helmut Zimmermann in the Vorarlberg state parliament, where she remained until October 13, 2009. From November 2013 to March 2017 she was district chairwoman of the SPÖ district of Bludenz. She is a member of the culture committee of the city of Bludenz and chairwoman of the Volkshochschule Bludenz association.

Private

Pircher lives in Bludenz and has been married since 1972. In 1977 she moved from Styria to Vorarlberg and is mother of three children and grandmother of two granddaughters. Their son, who was born in 1976, died in 2004, their two daughters were born in 1980 and 1983.
