Jeanne Louise Olga Zanders , b. Peltzer (born March 31, 1872 in Verviers , † December 30, 1946 in Bergisch Gladbach ) was a German paper manufacturer .

Life

Olga Zanders, descended from the Belgian branch of the Stolberg copper master family Peltzer , was the daughter of the cloth manufacturer Paul Nicolas Édouard Peltzer from Verviers in Belgium and sister of Édouard Henri Alexander Peltzer . On February 1, 1893, she married the paper manufacturer Hans Wilhelm Zanders . She had six children with him. She became a widow at an early age when her husband died on May 19, 1915.

The paper manufacturer

Since the death of her husband, Olga Zanders has been in charge of the paper mill. During this time she was supported by Alexe Altenkirch , who had been involved in the company's advertising since 1904. To support her, she appointed her nephew Gisbert Freiherr von der Osten as a partner. He stayed with the company until 1920. At this time, technical operations were under the management of Emil Klingner. Eugen Schmalenbach was the advisor for business questions .

After her son Johann Wilhelm Zanders had completed his training and gained experience in England and the United States , he returned in 1926 and joined the family business. In 1929 he took over the management of the company from his mother as a personally liable partner.
