Oliveira is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Oliveira belongs to the Póvoa de Lanhoso district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 5 km² and 400 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Oliveira and Fonte Arcada merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Fonte Arcada e Oliveira .
