Wallace Oliveira dos Santos (born May 1, 1994 in Rio de Janeiro ), Wallace for short , is a Brazilian football player .

Club career

Wallace began his career in the youth department of Brazilian club Fluminense before making his first-team debut against Ceará SC on July 31, 2011 . On July 20, 2012, he scored his only goal in the Brazilian Série A against EC Bahia . Nevertheless, his time at Fluminense was very successful for the young full-back: He made 21 league appearances, and was in the starting line-up twelve times. He also won the championship , the state championship of Rio de Janeiro and the Taça Guanabara with his club in 2012 .

In January 2013, the English club FC Chelsea secured the services of the young Brazilian for around six million euros, but he remained on loan with Fluminense until the end of the season. After playing much of the preparation for the 2013-14 season at Chelsea, Wallace was loaned to Italian club Inter Milan for a season in August 2013 .

For the 2015/16 season Wallace was loaned to Serie A promoted FC Carpi . His contract, which ran until July 1, 2018, was not renewed at Chelsea.

National team

Wallace has so far played for various youth teams in Brazil . With the U-17 of the Seleção he won the U-17 South American Championship in 2011. He also took part in the U-17 World Championship in 2011 , the U-20 South American Championship in 2013 and the U-20 World Championship in 2013 .
