Oliver Bittner (director)

Oliver Bittner (* 1969 in Hof (Saale) ) is a German film director .

Life

Oliver Bittner obtained his Abitur in Lauf an der Pegnitz and then studied at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen . He completed his studies in modern German literature , theater studies / audiovisual media and psychology in 1995 with a Magister Artium.

Even during his student days, Bittner worked intensively in various areas of film and video production with a focus on screenwriting, production, directing and film editing. Between 1991 and 1994, his contributions were awarded several times in the national competition of the German Youth Video Prize. In 1994 Oliver Bittner took part in the "Workshop for Young Filmmakers" (today the Workshop of the Young Film Scene ). After various TV internships and a production assistant at Wetten, dass ..? . In 1996 he worked in the editorial department for the RTL format Wir Kampf für Sie and started as a producer for RTL On Air Promotion at house of promotion in Cologne. In 2001 he became chief producer / director at RTL Creation and developed concepts for station promotion. In 2016 Bittner became Creative Manager and in 2017 Brand Manager in RTL Marketing at Mediengruppe RTL. Bittner also continues to produce experimental short films.
