Oliver Friggieri

Oliver Friggieri (* 1947 in Malta ) is a Maltese writer and university professor . He writes in Malti , English and Italian.

Life

Friggieri studied philosophy and literature . After completing his master's degree , he did his doctorate in the field of Maltese literature.

He is a member of the Association Internationale des Critiques Littéraires in Paris and a founding member of the Academia Internațională Mihai Eminescu in Craiova, Romania . Much of his work from over thirty of his own publications has been translated into several European languages. Friggieri has won various international competition prizes, including the Premio Mediterraneo Internazionale from Palermo (1988) and the Malta Government Literary Award (1988, 1996, 1997).

Oliver Friggieri is Professor and Director of the Maltese Seminar at the University of Malta.

He lives and works in Birkirkara , Malta.
