Oliver Hasenzahl

Oliver Hasenzahl (born July 16, 1966 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German bassoonist , music teacher and composer .

Life

Hasenzahl studied bassoon with Georg Klütsch and Sergio Azzolini at the Stuttgart University of Music . He also attended master classes with Klaus Thunemann , Leonard Hokanson , Konrad Elser and Lajos Lencsés . In addition to his participation in various orchestras (including the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie , Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, Philharmonic Orchestra of the City of Heidelberg , Ensemble Musica viva Stuttgart), he specialized in chamber music at an early age. Hasenzahl is a member of the Trio Orplid and has been artistic director and bassoonist of the Stuttgart Chamber Soloists since 2000 . Numerous concerts have taken him to Germany, Denmark, France, Italy, Switzerland, the USA and South America. This resulted in a number of CD productions and radio recordings (including at SWR as part of the “ Schwetzingen Festival ”). Hasenzahl also played world premieres a. a. the works of Hans Georg Pflüger and Bernhard Krol , who composed several pieces for him.

Oliver Hasenzahl teaches bassoon and wind chamber music at the music school of the state capital Stuttgart. His students won numerous 1st federal prizes in the " Jugend musiziert " competition and 1st prizes in the Baden-Württemberg Tonkünstler Competition. You play u. a. in the State Youth Orchestra of Baden-Württemberg , in the International Regions Symphony Orchestra of the State Music Council Baden-Württemberg and in the Federal Youth Orchestra .

From 2005 to 2014 Oliver Hasenzahl was a lecturer at the Ludwigsburg University of Education . Since 2014 he has been teaching at the State University for Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart .

Hasenzahl has been writing for Accolade Musikverlag as an author and composer since 2006. Hasenzahl has been a member of the board of the Fagott e. V., who runs the nationwide workshop "The bassoons are going!" aligns. In 2013 he was appointed bassoon specialist advisor by the Association of German Music Schools . Hasenzahl leads seminars for the advanced training of bassoon teachers (among others at the Upper Austrian Regional Music School and the Tyrolean Music School).
