Oliver Island is the largest island in the Mica Islands group off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the southern part of Marguerite Bay , it is 10 km northeast of Cape Jeremy opposite the entrance to the West Bay .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1977 after David L. Oliver, cook at Palmer Station in the Antarctic winter of 1972.
