Oliver Kamber (born May 7, 1979 in Sissach ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who has played in the National League A at HC Ambrì-Piotta , EHC Biel , HC Lugano and Lausanne Hockey Club, among others . The greatest success of his career was winning the Champions Hockey League in 2009, and in 1997 he won the bronze medal at the U18 European Junior Championship with the Swiss U18 national team .
Career
Oliver Kamber began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth of the Grasshopper Club Zurich , for whose professional team he made his debut in the National League B in the 1997/98 season . In the summer of 2000 he moved to their league rivals Lausanne Hockey Club , for which he was active in the following seasons. Only in the 2002/03 season was the attacker on the ice for EV Zug . For the 2005/06 season Kamber was taken by Friborg-Gottéron under contract, which he left after only one season to play for another two years for the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers .
In the summer of 2008 Kamber was signed by the current champions ZSC Lions , with whom he won the newly founded Champions Hockey League in the 2008/09 season after he and his team prevailed in the final against HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk from the Continental Hockey League . In November 2009, he was in exchange for the Swiss-Croatian dual citizen Dario Kostović to the HC Lugano made. He stayed with the Luganesi until 2013 before moving to EHC Biel . After two seasons with Biel, he moved to HC Ambrì-Piotta . After the 2016/17 season , Kamber ended his career at the age of 37.
Since then he has played in the amateur field for the EHC Lausen in the sixth class 3rd division.
