Oliver Kaul is a German economist and professor for marketing and international management at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences .

Career

Oliver Kaul studied economics at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . From 1995 he received his doctorate at the professorship for business administration and marketing at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and at Columbia University New York and completed his doctorate with the dissertation topic "Competitor Reputation for Aggressiveness - A Key Construct in Marketing Competition". Since 2003 he has held the chair for international business and management in the economics department at Mainz University of Applied Sciences . His fields of study include marketing and strategic management.

He spent international research at Columbia Business School (USA) and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (China). In addition, he presented his research results at leading business schools in Europe, USA and Asia, including UC Berkeley (USA), New York University (USA), Columbia University (USA), University of California, Los Angeles (USA), INSEAD ( France) and Humboldt University Berlin (Germany).

Oliver Kaul's main research areas include competitive marketing strategy as well as qualitative and quantitative market research projects . As an expert in pricing and innovation , he conducts research projects that deal with data-based recommendations for maximum risk reduction in innovation and price decisions. His activities include shopper and consumer research as well as consumer-centric marketing strategies. Further research and consulting activities are in the areas of new product launches, product variations and the development of corresponding simulation models for forecasting expected market share and / or volume changes based on conjoint analyzes . Kaul is a co-founder of the m3 forum. Company founder
