Oliver Kyr

Oliver Kyr , real name Oliver Kühr (born September 4, 1970 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German author and filmmaker .

Life

Kyr grew up in Überlingen and graduated from high school in 1990. For around two decades he owned an advertising agency in Stuttgart ; international corporations were among his customers. After a burnout , he decided to change his lifestyle. Since 2015 he has been traveling extensively with his family - whom he calls Pegasus family - in order to raise awareness with his films and books: for the fact that all life on earth is our family.

In his books, Kyr tells of experiences beyond what we call reality. His novella Audrey and Death tells of death falling in love unhappily, while my friend Scarlett tells of little Ole whose dog is suddenly no longer there. In Ascheland , Kyr designed the gloomy vision of a Germany after the hypothetical “Third World War” and asks the question: “If we love our children so much, why are we destroying their future?” Ascheland received the silver Skoutz Book Award .

Kyr's feature film The Big Black is about the journey into the soul of a guilty young man. The film won u. a. the Golden Pegasus for best director at the Corinth International Film Festival (Greece). The film trilogy One Planet. One Family tells about our brothers and sisters on earth: Citizen Animal about animals and Root Republic about trees and plants, the third part is due to appear in 2020.
