Oliver Mik

Oliver Mik (born October 27, 1974 in Essen ) is a German chef . He gained public fame primarily through the docu-soap Die Kochprofis on RTL II .

life and career

Mik was born in Essen in North Rhine-Westphalia . At the age of 18, Mik completed an apprenticeship as a chef at the “Hotel Astoria” in Essen. After successfully completing his training, he did his military service as a field cook in the Bundeswehr . As a board chef at Thyssenkrupp or at the “Tre Forze” on the Kö in Düsseldorf , he gained further experience in the field.

In 2004 he became head chef at the Bochum police headquarters. During his time at Jagdhaus Schellenberg, he cooked for many celebrities, such as former Chancellor Helmut Schmidt . Since 2006, Mik has been using his notoriety to promote charity.

In 2008 he was seen in the Jumbo format , the restaurant saver with Jumbo Schreiner . Because of the experience he gained there, he was selected for the cooking coaching show Die Kochprofis . From September 2009 onwards, Mik was part of the documentary soap on RTL 2. In November 2009, he got out.

In Voerde he ran a cooking school.

Trivia

  • Mik is interested in motorsport. Because of his love for fast vehicles, he is also called the fastest chef in Germany .
