from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oliver Bernhard Waldmann (* 1967 ) is a German physicist . He is a professor at the Physics Institute at the University of Freiburg , specializing in nanophysics and molecular nanomagnets.

Waldmann studied from 1987 to 1994 at the Technical University of Munich and graduated with a diploma thesis at the Walther Meißner Institute for Low Temperature Research in Garching near Munich . Waldmann received his doctorate in 1998 under Paul Müller with a thesis on intramolecular antiferromagnetic coupling in supramolecular lattice structures at the Physics Institute III of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . There he completed his habilitation in 2003 with the thesis Supramolecular Nanomagnets: Quantum Physics in the Mesoscopic Limit Area .
