Oliver Warg (born July 6, 1963 ) is a former German Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Warg made his international debut at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1983 in Kuopio , Finland , where he won the individual bronze medal behind fellow countryman Heiko Hunger and Norwegian Geir Andersen . On December 17, 1983, he made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup . In the individual competition in Seefeld in Tirol , Warg landed fifth straight away in the points. In Oberwiesenthal he just missed the points as 16th. Since these were the only two World Cups in the season, he finished 25th in the overall World Cup ranking. In the following season he only contested the World Cup in Oberwiesenthal, but achieved his first and only World Cup podium in third place. In the overall ranking he reached 21st place. At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld, he finished fifth in the team competition together with Heiko Hunger and Uwe Dotzauer . In the individual, he was 25th.
