Uwe Dotzauer (born February 19, 1959 in Klingenthal / Sa. ) Is a former German Nordic combined athlete . He belonged to the SC Dynamo Klingenthal .

He was active for the GDR team from 1977 to 1987 . He celebrated his greatest successes at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 , when he became world champion with the GDR team in the 3x10 km team competition and won the bronze medal in the individual race.

Dotzauer also won the Nordic Combined at the 1980 ski games on Holmenkollen . In his career he took part in a total of two Olympic Winter Games. At the Olympic Games in 1980 , he was the fifth and in the games of 1984 , he was seventh.

He celebrated his only World Cup success in the 1983/84 season in Seefeld (Austria).

After the end of his active sporting career, Uwe Dotzauer is currently working at the Klingenthal federal base as a trainer in the junior division for Nordic combined. In this capacity Dotzauer was named DSV trainer of the year in the 2010/11 season.
