List of world champions in Nordic combined
The list of world champions in Nordic Combined lists all winners as well as the second and third placed at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Nordic Combined since 1925. In the further part, all Nordic combined athletes who have been world champions at least once are listed. The period in which the athlete won the medals, the silver and bronze medals and the total number of medals are given. The national ranking and a list of winners are shown in further lists.
With six gold medals, the German Johannes Rydzek won the most world championships, followed by the Norwegian Bjarte Engen Vik , the German Eric Frenzel and the French Jason Lamy Chappuis , each with five world championship titles. The German Ronny Ackermann celebrated the greatest number of successes in individual competitions with four wins . The hardest working World Cup medal collectors among the combiners are Eric Frenzel, Björn Kircheisen and the Norwegian Magnus Moan , each with twelve medals.
In the nations ranking, Norway leads ahead of Germany and Finland. Contrary to other types of skiing of Nordic skiing , the cross-country skiing and ski jumping , the Olympic champion in Nordic combined were up to the Winter Olympics in 1980 not at the same time world champion.
