Robert Stadelmann (born January 23, 1972 in Marburg ) is a former Austrian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

On December 12, 1992 he was able to achieve a top 10 result for the first time in the Nordic Combined World Cup . At the World Cup in Courchevel , he finished tenth. At the end of the 1992/93 season he finished 22nd in the overall World Cup. After taking second place at the Austrian Championships in Nordic Combined in 1993, he became Austrian Champion in Nordic Combined in 1994.

The 1994/95 season was his most successful season in the Nordic Combined World Cup . This season he had his best result in the World Cup on December 10, 1994 at the World Cup in Štrbské Pleso , where he finished eighth. In the overall World Cup he finished 18th with a total of 268 points. He also qualified for the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay , where he formed the Austrian relay team with Mario Stecher , Georg Riedelsperger and Klaus Ofner , which finished fifth.

After he became Austrian champion in Nordic combined again in 1996, he won the silver medal in the sprint competition and his third and last Austrian championship title in the individual competition in 1997, where a sprint competition and a Gunderson competition were held for the first time. In the same year he qualified for the Nordic World Ski Championships 1997 in Trondheim , where he formed the Austrian relay team with Christoph Eugen , Felix Gottwald and Mario Stecher . Behind the Norwegian and Finnish relay teams, the Austrian quartet won the bronze medal.

On March 2, 1997 he was able to stand on the podium for the first time in the B World Cup . Behind Frédéric Baud and Igor Cuznar , he finished third in the B World Cup in Courchevel . At the end of the 1996/97 season, he finished second in the overall ranking of the B World Cup, behind Frédéric Baud and second in front of Falk Weber . After he finished second in the sprint competition on December 10, 1998 in Taivalkoski , he was able to win a competition in the B World Cup for the first and only time on January 17, 1999 in Chamonix .
