Ildar Ilfatowitsch Garifullin ( Russian Ильдар Ильфатович Гарифуллин ; born May 27, 1963 in Ufa , Bashkir ASSR ) is a former Soviet Nordic combiner .

Career

Garifullin made an international appearance especially in the winter of 1983/84. So he made his debut on December 29, 1983 in Oberwiesenthal in 1983/84 . He won his first World Cup points in ninth place. He achieved his best individual result at the beginning of January in Schonach , where he finished fifth. A week later he finished second with Olexander Proswyrnyn and Alexander Majorow in the team competition in Nesselwang behind the Finnish relay. In February he took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . In the individual competition from the K-90 hill and over fifteen kilometers, he took 23rd place. Since the team competitions were not included in the Olympic program, the relay competition as the Nordic World Ski Championships took place in Rovaniemi in March . Together with Olexander Proswyrnyn and Alexander Majorow Garifullin won the bronze medal. He finished the winter in 17th place in the overall World Cup ranking.

Garifullin is the director of Sdyusshor 33 Ufa in the education of children and young people in ski jumping and Nordic combined.
