Lauri Johannes Valonen (born September 28, 1909 in Helsinki , † October 2, 1982 in Lahti ) was a Finnish ski jumper and Nordic combined athlete .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 , Valonen started in combination and ski jumping. In the combination he reached the 5th place. In jumping from the large hill, he jumped to 4th place. A year later at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1935 in Vysoké Tatry , he won the silver medal in the individual Nordic combined. At the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Valonen started again in both disciplines. In the individual combination he was fourth and in jumping on the normal hill he reached 6th place with jumps of 54.5 and 52.0 m.
