Ralph Leonhardt (born October 14, 1967 ) is a former German Nordic combined athlete .

Career

The hammer jumper Leonhardt in Klingenthal trained, launched in 1988 in the Nordic Combined World Cup . On December 29, 1988 he landed fifth in Oberwiesenthal in the points for the first time. In his first World Cup year it was the only place within the points and also the best place ever in the World Cup in the course of his career. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 , he won the bronze medal in a team competition with Bernd Blechschmidt and Thomas Abratis . At the GDR Ski Championships in 1989 in Oberwiesenthal, he was fourth in the individual and won the team sprint with Abratis. With this he secured his second national title after gold in the team competition at the GDR ski championships in 1988 in Oberhof .

In the following winter of 1989/90 he managed to jump into the points in Reit im Winkl as 13th. With the three points won, he finished the season 31st in the overall World Cup standings. From the winter of 1990/91 Leonhardt started as a member of the all-German squad in the B-World Cup , today's Continental Cup. He achieved his best result in the B series on February 29, 1992 in Schwarzach im Pongau . In 1994 Leonhardt ended his active career.
