Franz Keller (born January 19, 1945 in Nesselwang ) is a former German Nordic combined skier and ski jumper .

Keller began his career as a special jumper and won the gold medal at the German championships in 1966. In 1967 he took second place in jumping in Innsbruck as part of the Four Hills Tournament . A short time later he switched to the combiners.

In 1968 he won the gold medal in Nordic combined at the Olympic Games in Grenoble . In the same year he was voted Germany's Sportsman of the Year . He won the combination on February 10, 1971 as part of the pre-Olympic competitions in Sapporo (in 1972 at the Olympic Games, he finished 33rd).

In 1965, Keller won the German Junior Championships in Meßstetten ahead of Klaus Ganter. The next year he achieved his first major international success, finishing second behind Georg Thoma at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1966 . In 1973 he was honored with the Holmenkollen Medal .
