Career

The Tyrolean starts for HSV Absam-Bergisel and is considered one of the best ski jumpers among the Nordic combined athletes. On January 25, 2004 he reached his first podium in the mass start competition in Sapporo with 3rd place and after ten years in the World Cup (and several podiums) he won his first World Cup race on December 3, 2006 in Lillehammer ahead of the Finn Anssi Koivuranta , who on December 16, 2006 with victory in the mass start competition in Ramsau, again ahead of Koivuranta, the second triumph followed. So far, the Tyrolean has six World Cup victories.

Christoph Bieler has celebrated his greatest successes with the Austrian team so far. He was crowned Olympic champion at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, together with Michael Gruber , Felix Gottwald and Mario Stecher, and was already world champion at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2003  - in a season with Michael Gruber, Wilhelm Denifl and Felix Gottwald.
