Oliver Wehe (born June 11, 1967 in Munich ) is a German ballet dancer , dance teacher and former actor .

Live and act

Wohe, who had been taking ballet lessons at the ballet center in his hometown since 1979, was discovered for the film at the age of 14 and engaged in the title role of the young Felix Krull in Bernhard Sinkels and Alf Brustellin's lavish, five-part television version of Thomas Mann's Confessions of the impostor Felix Krull . A little later, the man from Munich was brought in front of the camera again for the García Márquez film adaptation The unbelievable and sad story of the innocent Eréndira and her heartless grandmother . Woe played the central role of the blond, angelic Ulysses, who is united by a pure and innocent love for the teenage heroine and who finally redeems her from her slave-like existence through a bloody act on her exploitative grandmother.

Although these two works suddenly made international fame in the early 1980s, Wehe decided not to continue acting. Instead, he focused on training as a ballet dancer. In 1987 he received his ballet diploma and from 1990 became principal soloist of the Bavarian State Ballet for thirteen years . His repertoire during these years included Siegfried in Swan Lake , Albrecht in Giselle , Basilio in Spoerlis Don Quixote , the Prince in Sleeping Beauty , Petrucchio in The Taming of the Shrew , Lenski in Onegin, and Mercutio and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet as well as Oberon and Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream .

As a result of a persistent and protracted injury, Wehe decided in July 2003 not to perform again. Since then he has been working as a movement trainer.
