Olivia Carnegie-Brown

Olivia Carnegie-Brown (born March 28, 1991 in London ) is a British rower .

Athletic career

Olivia Carnegie-Brown began rowing while she was at Queen Anne's School in Caversham. At the Junior World Championships in 2008 she won bronze with the four-man without a helmsman , the following year she received the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in 2009 . In 2011 she finished fifth with eighth place at the U23 World Championships , in 2012 she rowed together with Caragh McMurtry the silver medal in the two-man without helmsman . They also won the silver medal at the European Championships in 2012 , and at the same event they also received bronze with the eighth.

In 2013 Olivia Carnegie-Brown rowed in the World Cup in quadruples , in twos without a helmsman and in eighth, and at the 2013 World Championships she finished fourth with eighth. In 2014, the eighth won the silver medal at the European Championships behind the Romanians at the start of the season . In 2015, the boat reached fifth place at the European Championships , after two third places in the World Cup, the eighth qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games with fourth place at the 2015 World Championships . At the start of the Olympic season, the British eighth won the title at the European Championships in Brandenburg on the Havel . At the 2016 Olympic Games , the US eight won ahead of the British European champions and the Romanians.
