Olivier Brand (born November 19, 1980 in Geneva ) is a former Swiss ski racer . He celebrated his greatest successes in the Super-G .

Career

Brand started for the Genève SATUS ski club and drove his first FIS race in December 1995. From 1997 to 2000 he took part in the Junior World Championships and achieved the best result in 13th place in the giant slalom 2000 , four more times he was among the fastest 20. He started in the European Cup for the first time in January 1999. With a total of three victories in the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons, he won the Super-G discipline rankings.

Brand contested his first race in the World Cup in December 2004. After he had also started in the giant slalom, from 2006 onwards he only drove Super-Gs and downhill runs in the World Cup, but never made it to the top. In his total of 28 World Cup races up to January 2009, he achieved a place in the points five times, i.e. among the fastest 30. His best World Cup result was 22nd place in the Super-G of Lake Louise on November 30, 2008. In March 2009, Brand gave his Resignation known.
