Olivier Dantine (born March 7, 1973 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Lutheran theologian and pastor and has been Superintendent of the Evangelical Superintendent of Salzburg and Tyrol since 2012 .

Life

He is the great-grandson of Wilhelm Felix Josef Dantine , grandson of Wilhelm Dantine and son of Johannes Dantine .

Olivier Dantine studied Protestant theology in Vienna, Berlin and Jerusalem. From 1999 to 2001 he was teaching vicar in Großpetersdorf , then a parish candidate in Bruck an der Mur and since 2002 pastor in Großpetersdorf. He was elected to the General Synod in 2006 and is particularly involved in Christian-Jewish dialogue as well as in the areas of religious instruction, ecumenical marriage preparation, youth work and adult education. On November 12, 2011 in Salzburg he was elected to succeed Luise Müller in the first ballot with a two-thirds majority . He took office on September 1, 2012.
