Wilhelm Felix Josef Dantine

Wilhelm Felix Josef Dantine (born November 6, 1876 in Vienna , † April 29, 1946 in Leoben ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a businessman , Dantine studied law in Vienna after attending the Vienna State High Schools VIII and VI . During his studies in 1895 he became a member of the Libertas Vienna fraternity . In 1900 he was promoted to Dr. iur. obtained his doctorate and passed his bar exam in Prague in 1904 , after having worked in several positions, including at his federal brother Rudolf Kolisko . From 1904 he worked as a lawyer in Leoben. In the 1919 election he became a member of the Styrian state parliament for the constituency of Upper Styria . He belonged to the German Democratic Party . He was involved in the drafting of the Protestant church constitution in Austria, which is still in force today, and became the curator of the Leoben parish. After the First World War he was Styrian senior curator for the Evangelical Church and was sent to the Synod as its representative in 1931 .

His son was the Lutheran theologian Wilhelm Dantine . One of his great-grandchildren is the theologian Olivier Dantine .
