The state elections in Styria in 1919 were held on May 11, 1919 and were the first state elections in Styria after the end of the First World War. The Christian Social Party (CSP) was able to achieve 46.5% and subsequently provided 35 of the 70 members of the state parliament. Second place went to the Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria (SDAPDÖ), which achieved 34.3% and 24 seats. In addition, the "Styrian Farmers' Party" (SBP) ran, which achieved 12.7% and nine seats. As a result, the Styrian Farmers' Party joined with other groups to form the Landbund . The “German Democratic Party” (DDP) was also able to move into the state parliament, which received two seats with 3.4% of the vote. All other candidate parties, however, failed to enter the state parliament.
