The state elections in Styria in 1930 were held on November 9, 1930 and were the fourth state elections in Styria during the First Republic . The regional parliaments in Burgenland and Carinthia and the National Council were also elected on the same day .
The state parliament was reduced from 56 to 48 seats.
The Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria (SDAPDÖ) became the strongest party in Styria for the first time despite slight losses with 34.83% and 17 seats. Because of the downsizing of the Landtag, this meant a loss of 4 seats.
The unified list of the Christian Social Party (CSP), Greater German People's Party (GDVP) and National Socialists did not run together again. The Christian Socials achieved only second place with 32.39%, but got as many seats as the Social Democrats with 17 seats. The Großdeutsche Volkspartei (GDVP), the Landbund (LB) and the Wirtschaftsverein für Österreich (Ude) competed together as a national economic bloc (Schober bloc) and got 8 seats with 16.50%.
The anti-parliamentary Heimwehr appeared for the first time as a home block and was able to move into the state parliament with 12.76% and 6 seats. Despite winning votes , the NSDAP was unable to achieve this goal . She scored 3.52%. Since she did not achieve a basic mandate, she was not given any remaining mandates. The KPÖ did not run again.
The MPs again elected Anton Rintelen (CS) as governor.
