The Evangelical Superintendent of Salzburg and Tyrol is a superintendent of the Evangelical Church of AB in Austria .

organization

The headquarters of the superintendent is in Innsbruck . It comprises 16 parishes, nine of them in Salzburg and seven in Tyrol . Together they have around 30,000 members. The management of the superintendent is incumbent on the superintendent committee chaired by the superintendent .

Together with the Reformed Church, the Lutheran Church forms the Evangelical Church in Austria  (AuHB).

Parts of the Salzburger Land belong to other superintendent agencies: Rußbach am Pass Gschütt is located in the district of the parish Gosau , superintendent of Upper Austria . The Ennspongau is part of the Schladming parish ( SI Styria ; subsidiary in Radstadt ). The Lungau is part of the parish of Murau , SI Styria. East Tyrol is part of the SI Carinthia and East Tyrol .

The main church is the Christ Church in Innsbruck and the Christ Church in Salzburg is the second main church. Before the superintendent was moved to Innsbruck in 2005, it was the main church.

history

The Evangelical Superintendent of Salzburg and Tyrol was created in 1966 through the separation from the Evangelical Superintendent of Upper Austria . The first superintendent of Salzburg and Tyrol was Emil Sturm , who was succeeded by Wolfgang Schmidt in 1980 and Luise Müller from 1995 . Olivier Dantine has been Superintendent since 2012 . The seat of the superintendent was relocated from the city of Salzburg to Innsbruck in 2005, and an office remained in Salzburg.
