The Evangelical Superintendentur AB West Bohemia was a diocese of the Evangelical Church AB in Austria , which existed from 1900 to 1918.
organization
The superintendent included up to 36 German-speaking parishes in Bohemia . The official seat of the superintendent in charge of the superintendent was in Aussig . Since 1911 the superintendent's office was divided into three senior councils, which were named after rivers: Eger , Elbe and Iser . In 1913 it had almost 55,000 believers.
history
The Evangelical Superintendentur AB West Bohemia was founded in 1900. It emerged from the German-speaking Western Seniorat of the Evangelical Superintendentur AB Böhmen , while the Czech-speaking parishes of the Eastern Seniorat formed the Evangelical Superintendentur AB Ostböhmen . In 1902 Albert Gummi , who had previously provisionally headed the new superintendent, was officially elected superintendent. The superintendent ceased to exist in 1918 after the dissolution of Austria-Hungary , as the Czechoslovak government forbade maintaining relations with the Austrian church. The parishes became part of the German Evangelical Church in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia , which was founded on October 25, 1919 .
