Schaitbergerkirche

The Schaitbergerkirche is the evangelical parish church in Hallein named after the religious fighter and miner Joseph Schaitberger .

The church was built in 1968/69 according to the plans of the architect Jakob Adlhart on the site of an emergency church from 1919.

The church is an unadorned cubic structure with a high steeple and a square floor plan. A crucifix by the sculptor Jakob Adlhart is attached to the choir wall .

local community

The parish has been independent since 1925 and has around 2000 members. The parish area is almost completely identical to the Hallein district . Only Russbach belongs to the parish of Gosau .
